Description

Knit in the round with a tight gauge in fingering weight yarn, these stranded colorwork mittens incorporate elements from traditional Scandinavian mitten designs, including a 1×1 corrugated rib cuff, thumb gusset on the palm, and a pointed top. The mitten body features a two-color diagonal grid and skull motif, with a smaller scale geometric pattern on the palm. Project photos show optional embroidery embellishment inspired by Day of the Dead calavera costumes. Instruction for the embroidery is not included. The pattern is written for size women’s medium and includes charts for the left and right mittens, and thumb.
